Valencia VS Almería

As you only live in Valencia once, we thought it would be good to go and support our local Valencia football team at a match! The football stadium (The Mestalla) is situated in Blasco Ibanez which is right on our door step. We only paid 10 euros for tickets, but they were good seats! There were lots empty because it wasn't a very big game, (as it was against Almería) but it was a great experience and it only took 10 minutes of the match starting for me and Katie to work out which colour Valencia were...oops! The atmosphere was fantastic with drumming and some sort of Valencian chants which we pretended to know. It was a tense match and I really enjoyed it! The only downside was the fact alcohol is banned, so we couldn't even have a beer at half time; instead some sunflower seeds, which everyone was munching on throughout the game! Must be a spanish thing!... Oh and shame about the 2-1 loss!
